About the role

Are you technically minded, hands-on and interested in how wastewater is collected, treated and safely reused?

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a motivated person with a genuine interest in wastewater treatment to join our Water Services team. You do not necessarily need to be a wastewater expert – we are looking for someone with practical ability, a willingness to learn and an interest in developing a career in the water and wastewater industry.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will gain experience across the City’s sewerage network, wastewater treatment plant and recycled water distribution system. You will work both outdoors and within operational facilities, assisting with plant operation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and the ongoing improvement of our wastewater and recycled water services.

If you enjoy practical problem-solving, working with pumps, equipment, instrumentation and treatment processes, and would like to learn more about how wastewater is transformed into a valuable, recycled water resource, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

You will join an experienced and supportive team, receive on-the-job training and can build valuable technical skills in an essential and growing industry.
